The baboon is made in hard blue faience. On the top of the head is incised a seven-lobed star or flower device. The animal is seated with his front paws on his knees. The tail curves to the right along the outer edge of the base.

This is a rather large headdress of over a metre high. It consists of a cane frame with a thin, pale brown, organic fibre stretched over it. At the base is a helmet or hat with two curved peaks, one convex, the other concave, arranged in the manner of a bird's bill.

The style of this mask is unusual, in that the forehead is very prominent with a deep groove cut horizontally into it with elongated eye holes set beneath it, while the nose is almost implied as it culminates in the protruding top lip.

This naturalistic wooden figure is in good condition with a sheen to its surface. His facial features are very life-like compared to less Europeanised models. His eyes are carved out around the iris, his nose has a narrow bridge and a triangular protruding end with broad nostrils.

This landscape scene shows a waterfall between a mountainous landscape with cherry blossom trees in full bloom both above and below. It is set within a gold-coloured floral motif border, with three rows of Japanese text situated at the top left corner.

This elaborately carved sceptre, or fly-whisk handle shows the image of a snake or reptile at the base, with a smooth shaft surmounted by a horse and rider sitting on a plinth.

This long hanging scroll is made from gold-coloured silk embossed with a gold lotus flower motif. The centre panel is very dark, and shows two seated figures at the base, sitting on a veranda overlooking a bridge.

This watercolour is set upon a dark patterned silk panel, and shows a simple yellow oak branch, beneath which are delicately executed waves and above sits a full moon seen behind wispy clouds. The branch is intricately drawn and the image uses soft, earthy tones.

This illustration is set upon a gold-coloured patterned silk panel. The image shows a misty coastal scene, with mountains in the background. In the foreground is grassy hill with a tree and a man looking out to the choppy sea, and two boats in the distance.

This sketch is mounted on a gold-coloured patterned background and depicts an intricately executed ink drawing of a deity. The figure has long flowing robes and holds a thunderbolt in the right hand, while five fire-like features encircle the head.
