Description:
Travelling canteen consisting of a wooden case with eight separately carved compartments for carrying eating utensils. The canteen contains a pair of silver forks with twisted handles, an ivory pick, a pointed metal file with integral tweezers at one end, two pairs of ivory and silver chopsticks, a silver spoon and two small silver cups. It has a shagreen cover decorated with small white and orange flowers. There are brass caps at both ends and mounts for the carrying cord (missing).
